Hollaback AustraliaThis website provides a space for women to get back at men who have harrassed them. Women write about their experiences of harrassment and publish photos of the men responsible. So get empowered and claim back the street! National Women’s Justice CoalitionA coalition of organisations and individuals, the NWJC aims to promote women's equality before the law in Australia. Their website is a handy resource, with lists of women’s NGO’s in Australia, online papers, where to go for legal help on various issues, and a tool kit which includes a list of news and email lists to which one can subscribe. RadfemspeakRadfemspeak was originally designed to be a news-based e-zine, but also runs forums. One can register to have access to private spaces that are not visible to the public, and it is possible to run e-lists and blogs. The emphasis is on the personal and social: it is a place to go to “hang out with our women friends”. The site is deliberately kept off search engines for Internet privacy. It has recently been reloaded, so some glitches are still being sorted out and there is not very much content online yet. Unruly Interjections: Voicing Radical FeminismThis is Lyn Ariel's personal website. It contains some information about Lyn, as well as links to her writings. Queer theory, pornography, male mateship, and ageism are some of the topics subjected to her distinctive fiery, witty, and lyrical analysis.
Mailing ListsF-AgendaThis is a large emailing list, including women from overseas. Various topics are debated from a radical feminist perspective. Contact Betty McLellan at bettymc@austarnet.com.au to add your name onto this list. CATWAThis is a women only list, and is open to those who support the aims of CATWA: to end all forms of sexual exploitation of women, and also those who wish to take part in discussing and developing strategies to end violence against women. Join this emailing list through CATWA or the National Women’s Justice Coalition. Women’s ServicesThe Women’s Services Network (WESNET)WESNET is a national women’s advocacy body that “works on behalf of women and children who are or have experienced domestic and family violence”. WESNET represents a range of organisations and individuals including women’s refuges, safe houses and information/ referral services. Their website includes an extensive list of links to national and state organisations covering partner violence and domestic violence, incest, sexual abuse, homelessness, and services assisting women with unwanted pregnancies and women with disabilities. It also has a list of papers, newsletters, and media releases (all accessible online) on these topics.
